Milwaukee M18 FUEL Multi-Tool

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2836 cuts like a reciprocating saw. It’s a rare next-level tool that stands above the competition. In this video we run it against the DeWalt DCS356.

Next we compare the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 2836 to the Makita 18V LXT StarlockMax XMT04.

Below, we look back at the previous Milwaukee non-FUEL 2626 and see that it runs fairly even with the DeWalt DCS355, which runs even with the DCS356; only the DCS356 has a 3-speed selector switch.

Bottom Line

Of all the multi-tools seen above, only the M18 FUEL cuts like a reciprocating saw. It’s the only one that allows me to not carry a reciprocating saw, most days. The DeWalt is much slower in comparison, and the Makita doesn’t have the same power under load, which causes it to stall, a lot.
